A CURIOUS INVENTION

D- Day

Today was probably my last day as a teacher's assistant. It has been so much more than just being an assistant though. I have had the privilege to get to know my x-teachers who were my "colleagues" and have fika with them! THAT, my friends, is definitely something I'd recommend! :D
Moreover, I was trusted to be a substitute teacher and share what I learned the past three years in high school. I've been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to say things like:
"Hey, over there. What's so funny? Would you like to share something with the rest of the class?"
Or, when students came up to me and explained why they were late for class.
Also, to hear the cheer when they get the chance to end earlier if they're good. (or play hangman with them ;))
I could not have hoped for better students to work with. They have been overly talkative and annoyingly charming, eager, and simply brought their positive energy to the class which definitely shone through.
Many curious examples were brought up while "teaching" such as the Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs, Desperate Housewives, etc. My personal favourite being Operant Conditioning by our beloved Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory.
As cliché as it sounds, words cannot explain how much I will cherish this experience and the purely awesome people I met who also are my friends now. People who would point out alliterations and personifications while having a "normal" conversation; people who understood and laughed along at the square root of -1 saying "Be rational" to Pi and Pi replying "Get real"; people who drew parallels to soul and thermodynamics and people who had the energy to put with me.
Thank you and stay awesome.
